Personality: Katsuki Bakugo is one of those people who is good at damn near everything he tries and he’s fearless in trying so that means he’s good at a lot of things. He’s incredible at using his Quirk, both in developing its strength and using it for creative purposes like aerial mobility. He’s excellent at reading people’s movements, finding their weaknesses, and creating strategy. On top of that, he works hard and studies hard to push his natural skills even further. Even people who dislike his attitude have to admit that he is primed to become a great hero due to his near-genius level control and intuition.

Unfortunately, the constant praise and assurance that he would be great someday caused him to grow arrogant and prideful. He dismisses other people around him as “extras” and doesn’t consider them worthwhile unless they do something to impress him. He talks big game and it infuriates him if anyone ever seems to be looking down on him or not taking him seriously.

If you want to get Katsuki to do something, insinuate that he can’t and he’ll instantly jump into action to prove you wrong. The lengths he will go to protect his pride are extreme and it often gets in the way of him working with others until he absolutely has to. It also prevents him from acting honestly about his feelings and so he expresses his few acts of kindness in a roundabout ways.

To top it off, he’s arrogant, rude, and constantly YELLING. He's a try-hard who screams “DIE!!” at inanimate objects and threatens to “murder” everything from tests to his fellow classmates. Immature and quick to anger, it's easy to get worked him into a tizzy over nothing. He has no patience and blows shit up if he feels ignored. He calls people by rude nicknames and that’s only if he actually bothers try and remember who they are. He isn't very sociable and spends a lot of time by himself.

Despite all of the unpleasantness, Katsuki is a very driven person and his drive is respected by most of his peers. He knows what he wants and is damn sure he’s going to get it. He wants to be the greatest hero and in his mind, heroes always win and so that’s what he is going to do. He never gives anything less than 100%; to the point where he can’t accept victories that he didn’t feel he earned.

Katsuki will focus on a goal and chase it with without once wavering or doubting himself, he’ll let nothing stand in between him and the victory he seeks. Katsuki doesn’t care if he breaks his body into a million pieces and is completely willing to endure serious damage in order to win. He honestly believes that he can fight a way to victory every time if he just doesn't give in.

His competitive nature and incredible drive push his classmates to compete with him and become stronger by doing so. People are willing to work with him, despite his many flaws, because they can see he is capable of going extremely far.

However, beneath everything, Katsuki is a deeply insecure person. All the praise made him think he was better than everyone else but he also became terrified of failure and loss of status. He hates to be seen as weak and takes other’s improvements as a threat, compliments as being mocked, and is constantly paranoid people are looking down on him. He will also intentionally escalate situations to avoid showing any fear.

He resentful towards anything that threatens his narrative of being great. He bullied his Quirkless childhood friend because, deep down, he knew that Deku had great heroic potential and that scared him because he would have to admit that his strong Quirk doesn’t mean he’s always the best. When Katsuki gets his ego crushed, it puts his perceived position in the world is at risk and hits hard on his self-worth and identity. He's essentially crushed by all of the expectations people built him up with because they've consumed his entire identity and he has no idea what to do and what it means for him if he fails.

Katsuki’s guilt around All Might (his idol) losing his power on a rescue mission to save him further fuels his fear of weakness. He believes that if he had been stronger than so many bad things wouldn’t have happened. He assumes that everyone around him is blaming him for all Might’s retirement just as he blames himself.

When he does fail and hit rock bottom, instead of giving up, Katsuki knows that he must change if he wants to meet his goals. He starts trying to be hero who "wins by saving" instead of only caring about being the best and starts working with teammates and is surprisingly good at leading and creating cohesive teamwork. He accepts that working with others for a win is still a victory, even if he doesn't get all of the glory. He starts showing bits of empathy and letting other people take the lead.

Katsuki even starts trying to get along with Deku and helps him figure out his powers, essentially acting as a confidant. He snags back people's wallets from a thieving villain and doesn't even yell at them! He's also willing to take an internship with Deku (and Todoroki) and work with them in order to achieve his goal. Basically, he's still abrasive and quick to anger but there's less bite behind it, less of an overly aggressive defense mechanism.

He has a long way to go on his journey of growing up and being a better person, but the fact that he's started trying shows how important being a hero, a good hero, is to him.

Abilities & Skills:
-His Quirk (superpower) is called “explosion” as he sweats a nitroglycerin like substance from his hands and ignites it to make massive explosions.
-He can use his Quirk to propel himself through the air by constantly creating explosions to rocket forward
-He can also use it to create a flash of light that functions like a stun grenade
-One of his big moves is the Howitzer Impact, where he spins around midair and gathers oxygen in a tornado before releasing it all in a massive explosion
-Another is AP Shot, where he shoots out a concentrated explosion beam by firing with one hand and aiming with another.
Inventory/Companions:
-The box containing his hero outfit (including gauntlets not that it will do him any good).

Choice: Monster-Turnskin (wolf)
Reason: Well, first of all, Bakugo was a wolf-boy in the Halloween art so there’s instant icons. Second, is that some of the traits of the turnskin are against his nature. He is solitary so having a pack mentality will bring about interesting character conflict. The need to turn will also be interesting because Katsuki likes being in control and having a strategy at all times and being forced turn will throw him for a loop.
